WM-Lauf in Teutschenthal (DE)

Zum Heim-GP meines Teams, Sixty Seven Racing, in Teutschenthal war ich natürlich hochmotiviert. Beim Team war diesmal etwas mehr los als gewohnt, zu meinem üblichen Kollegen Mark Scheu kamen noch Gastfahrer wie Jan Krug (MX2) und Jakob Zweiacker (EMX250) hinzu. Die Stimmung war super und ich konnte sofort top in das Wochenende starten. Mit meiner Husky kam ich vom ersten Meter an gut zurecht und auch körperlich geht es mir von Rennen zu Rennen besser.

Der Samstag begann mit den Trainingsläufen, wo ich schon schnell unterwegs war. Auch im Qualirennen lief es zunächst gut, nach schlechtem Start hatte ich mich bereits auf Platz 14 vorgearbeitet, aber drei Runden vor Ultimo flog mir der Kühlerdeckel durch zu starken Druck weg und ich musste aufgeben. Ich war danach ziemlich geknickt und in der Startaufstellung für Sonntag leider nur auf Position 38. Leider spielt die Startposition in Teutschenthal eine besonders große Rolle. Aber ich wusste, dass mein Speed gut ist und so war ich nach einer ruhigen Nacht am Sonntagmorgen wieder voller Hoffnung. Aus der Startrunde zu Lauf 1 kam ich etwa auf Rang 30 zurück und begann meinen Job. Im Laufe des Rennens passierte ich einige Piloten und erreichte Position 19 und dann kam das Pech zurück. 1,5 Runden vor Rennschluss riss mir die Kette und wieder war das Rennen für mich beendet. Im zweiten Lauf lief es für mich etwa wie in Lauf 1, leider verfehlte ich die Punkteränge auf Platz 21 knapp.

An diesem Wochenende waren Punkte für mich absolut drin, von einem besseren Platz am Gatter ganz zu schweigen. Hätte, hätte Fahrradkette, wir lassen die Köpfe nicht hängen. Mit meiner Leistung auf der Strecke war ich zufrieden und jetzt liegt der Fokus auf Kegums, Lettland, wo der nächste WM-Lauf stattfindet.

World Championship in Teutschenthal (DE)

Of course, I was highly motivated for the home GP of my team, Sixty Seven Racing, in Teutschenthal. The team was a bit busier than usual this time, with guest riders such as Jan Krug (MX2) and Jakob Zweiacker (EMX250) joining my usual colleague Mark Scheu. The atmosphere was great and I was able to get the weekend off to a great start. I got on well with my Husky from the first metre and I'm also getting better physically from race to race.

Saturday started with the practice runs, where I was already fast. After a bad start, I had already worked my way up to 14th place, but three laps before the end, the radiator cap flew off due to too much pressure and I had to retire. I was pretty dejected after that and unfortunately only 38th on the grid for Sunday.
Unfortunately, starting position plays a particularly important role in Teutschenthal. But I knew that my speed was good and so I was full of hope again after a quiet night on Sunday morning. I came back from the start lap of race 1 in about 30th place and started my job. Over the course of the race I passed a few riders and reached 19th position and then bad luck returned. My chain broke 1.5 laps before the end of the race and again the race was over for me. In the second race, things went more or less the same for me as in race 1, but unfortunately I just missed out on the points in 21st place.

Points were absolutely possible for me this weekend, not to mention a better place at the gate. We're not hanging our heads in shame. I was happy with my performance on the track and now the focus is on Kegums, Latvia, where the next world championship round will take place.

Championnat du monde à Teutschenthal (DE)

Bien sûr, j'étais très motivé pour le GP local de mon équipe, Sixty Seven Racing, à Teutschenthal. L'équipe était un peu plus occupée que d'habitude cette fois-ci, avec des pilotes invités tels que Jan Krug (MX2) et Jakob Zweiacker (EMX250) rejoignant mon collègue habituel Mark Scheu. L'ambiance était excellente et j'ai pu démarrer le week-end sur les chapeaux de roue. Je me suis bien senti sur la moto dès le premier mètre et je m'améliore physiquement d'une course à l'autre.
Le samedi a commencé par la session d'entraînement, où j'étais déjà rapide. Après un mauvais départ, j'étais déjà remonté à la 14e place, mais trois tours avant la fin, le bouchon du radiateur s'est détaché à cause d'une trop forte pression et j'ai dû abandonner. J'étais assez déprimé après cela et je n'étais malheureusement que 38e sur la grille de départ pour le dimanche.

Malheureusement, la position de départ joue un rôle particulièrement important à Teutschenthal. Mais je savais que ma vitesse était bonne et j'étais donc plein d'espoir après une nuit calme le dimanche matin. Je suis sorti du premier tour e3n 30e position et j'ai commencé à lutter pour remonter. Au cours de la course, j'ai doublé quelques coureurs et atteint la 19ème position, puis la malchance est revenue. Ma chaîne s'est cassée 1,5 tour avant la fin de la course et, une fois de plus, la course était terminée pour moi. Lors la deuxième course, les choses se sont déroulées plus ou moins de la même manière que dans la première, mais j'ai malheureusement manqué de peu les points en terminant à la 21e place.

Je pouvais marquer des points ce week-end, sans parler d'une meilleure place à l'arrivée. J'ai été satisfait de ma performance sur la piste et je me concentre maintenant sur Kegums, en Lettonie, où se déroulera la prochaine manche du championnat du monde.
