Das Wochenende in Frankreich und damit das siebte Rennwochenende der MXGP brachte Jeremy Seewer nicht nur den sechsten Gesamtrang, sondern auch endlich wieder Zuversicht und Vertrauen in seine Performance. Trotz schwieriger Bedingungen und einer umstrittenen Strafe ist der Schweizer zufrieden mit zwei vierten Plätzen (Strafversetzt auf P6 im zweiten Rennen) und konnte einmal mehr zeigen, dass er fähig ist, mit der Spitze mitzugehen.

Das Wochenende begann gut für Jeremy Seewer: Mit der Bestzeit im Zeittraining vom Samstag war die Motivation hoch und die Zuversicht gross, auch für den Rest des Wochenendes vorne dabei sein zu können. Im Qualirennen dann die Ernüchterung: Starker Regen und eine erneute Schlammschlacht machten es dem Kawasaki Racing Team nicht einfach – dennoch platzierte sich Jeremy auf dem starken dritten Platz. Das erste Rennen am Sonntag lief mit einer hohen Pace, bei der der 29-Jährige problemlos mit der Top3 mithalten konnte, sehr gut – ein harmloser Sturz kostete jedoch wertvolle Zeit und brachte nach Lauf 1 somit den 4. Platz.

Im zweiten Lauf dann wiederum schwierige, nasse Bedingungen nach einem starken Gewitter. Direkt nach dem Start konnte sich Jeremy auf dem 2. Platz positionieren und sich in Zweikämpfen durchsetzen. Zu viel Risiko einzugehen war jedoch schwierig, wodurch er über das Rennen hinweg Plätze verlor und konstant auf Platz 4 und 5 mitfuhr. Aufgrund des Wassers kämpfe er mit technischen Problemen, die es über die zweite Rennhälfte hinweg zu managen galt. Wiederum kam er als starker Vierter ins Ziel, wurde jedoch wegen eines umstrittenen Entscheids der Rennleitung um zwei Plätze zurückversetzt, da er laut offiziellem Statement bei geschwenkter gelber Flagge gesprungen sei. Ein ernüchterndes Ende nach einem eigentlich starken Wochenende für Jeremy:

«Ich bin grundsätzlich sehr happy mit dem Wochenende. Wir konnten eine hohe Pace mitgehen, fast konstant um die Podestplätze mitfahren. Leider hat es dann doch immer mal wieder an Details gefehlt und natürlich war auch der – aus meiner Sicht unfaire – Entscheid der Rennleitung kein schönes Ende. Die beiden vierten Plätze sind aber ein Zeichen, dass ich dem Podest wieder sehr nahe bin. Ich fühle mich konkurrenzfähig und wenn wir die Details noch korrigieren können, dann sind wir wieder bald wieder da, wo wir hingehören: Auf dem Podest.»

Das nächste Rennwochenende findet am 31. Mai - 2. Juni mit dem MXGP of Germany in Teuschenthal statt.

Le week-end en France, et donc le septième week-end de course du MXGP, a permis à Jeremy Seewer non seulement de se classer sixième au classement général, mais aussi de retrouver enfin confiance et d'améliorer ses performances.

Malgré des conditions difficiles et une pénalité controversée, le Suisse est satisfait de ses deux quatrièmes places (pénalisé en P6 lors lors de la deuxième course) et a pu démontrer une fois de plus qu'il est capable de suivre le rythme des leaders.
Le week-end avait bien commencé pour Jeremy Seewer : avec le meilleur temps des essais chronométrés du samedi, la motivation était au rendez-vous et la confiance en sa capacité à être devant pour le reste du week-end aussi. La désillusion est venue lors de la manche de qualification : une forte pluie et un nouveau bain de boue n'ont pas facilité la tâche du Kawasaki Racing Team - Jeremy s'est néanmoins classé à une belle troisième place.

La première manche du dimanche s'est très bien déroulée, avec un rythme élevé qui a permis au pilote de 29 ans de se maintenir sans problème dans le top 3, mais une chute sans gravité lui a fait perdre un temps précieux et l'a relégué à la 4e place en fin de manche.

Lors de la deuxième manche, les conditions étaient à nouveau difficiles et humides après un fort orage. Dès le départ, Jeremy a réussi à se positionner en 2e place et à s'imposer dans les duels. Il lui était cependant difficile de prendre trop de risques, ce qui lui a fait perdre des places tout au long de la course et l'a obligé à rester constamment en 4e et 5e position. En raison de l'eau, il a dû faire face à des problèmes techniques qu'il a dû gérer pendant la deuxième moitié de la course. Il a de nouveau terminé en quatrième place, mais a été rétrogradé de deux places en raison d'une décision controversée de la direction de course, car, selon le communiqué officiel, il avait sauté alors que le drapeau jaune était agité. Une fin décevante après un week-end qui s'annonçait pourtant fort pour Jeremy :

« Je suis en principe très heureux de ce week-end. Nous avons réussi à maintenir un rythme élevé et à être presque constamment dans le coup pour le podium. Malheureusement, nous avons manqué de détails et la décision - injuste à mes yeux - de la direction de course n'a pas été une bonne fin. Les deux quatrièmes places sont toutefois le signe que je suis à nouveau très proche du podium. Je me sens compétitif et si nous pouvons encore corriger les détails, nous serons bientôt de retour là où nous devons être : sur le podium ».

Le prochain week-end de course aura lieu du 31 mai au 2 juin avec le MXGP of Germany à Teuschenthal.

The weekend in France, and with it the seventh race weekend of the MXGP, not only brought Jeremy Seewer sixth place overall, but also finally regained confidence and trust in his performance. Despite difficult conditions and a controversial penalty, the Swiss rider is satisfied with two fourth places (penalised to P6 in the second race) and was once again able to show that he is capable of keeping up with the front runners.

The weekend started well for Jeremy Seewer: with P1 in the time practice on Saturday, motivation and confidence were high that he would be among the front runners for the rest of the weekend. The qualifying race then brought a bit of disillusionment: heavy rain and another muddy session did not make things easy for the Kawasaki Racing Team - but Jeremy still managed to finish in a strong third place. The first race on Sunday went very well with a high pace from Jeremy, in which the 29-year-old was able to easily keep up with the top 3 - however, a harmless crash cost him valuable time and he finished 4th after race 1.

In the second race, the conditions were again difficult and wet after a heavy thunderstorm. Right after the start, Jeremy was able to position himself in 2nd place and fight his way through the battles. However, it was difficult to take too many risks, which meant he lost places over the course of the race and was consistently in 4th and 5th place. Due to the water, he struggled with technical problems that had to be managed over the second half of the race. Once again, he finished a strong fourth, but was dropped back two positions due to a controversial decision by the race organisers because, according to the official statement, he had jumped when the yellow flag was waved. A disappointing end to what should have been a strong weekend for Jeremy:

"I'm generally very happy with the weekend. We were able to maintain a high pace and almost consistently compete for the podium places. Unfortunately, details were lacking from time to time and of course the - in my opinion unfair - decision by the race organisers was not a nice ending. But the two fourth places are a sign that I'm very close to the podium again. I feel competitive and if we can correct the details, then we will soon be back where we belong: On the podium."
